“Big Baby” Remains A Mystery
Glen Davis, who was thought to be on his way out, now has echoed that he wants to continue playing with teammates Ray Allen and Paul Pierce in Boston.
“Man, I do,” Davis said yesterday. “Do you know how much I’ve grown and learned with those guys? I want to keep playing with Ray (Allen) and Paul (Pierce) until they leave.”
“I’m preparing like it’s any other summer, because you never know with the CBA,” Davis said. “As soon as that deal is done, free agents are going to be going like crazy to get signed. But there’s no way to gauge what (a contract) is worth.”
Playing with the C’s until Ray and Paul leave? Sounds like he wants to stay rather than become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Doc Rivers has questioned his focus in the past and it could be that Davis is just so overly emotional, that he hasn’t decided to make up his mind yet, concerning his future with the team.
One moment he’s about to leave, the next, he wants to remain in Boston playing with Allen and Pierce. Let the saga flourish and drama die down, expecting to see Davis in a Celtics uniform for the foreseeable future.

I’ve always loved Big Baby and he’s been a big help to the team. I hope he stays.
